Pastor Washington has a heart to see churches planted and church buildings built throughout the Alagoas region.

Senegal, West Africa; Sereer-Palor Partnership
Rocky Creek Baptist Church (RCBC) has entered an Engaging Partnership with the Sereer-Palor people group.  As an Engaging Partner, we are the missionaries who will seek to engage the Sereer-Palor and reach them for Christ.  There is not an IMB missionary assigned directly to the Sereer-Palor, so if this predominately Muslim group is to hear the great truths of Christ, it is up to Rocky Creek.  At least ten teams from RCBC have visited in the village we call "The Castle", and at least one person has become a believer. During 2008, we will send several teams to "The Castle" as well as to other Sereer-Palor villages in the local area.

Opportunities for Service:

Prayer partners (the key that unlocks the doors), a short-term mission trip to Senegal, West Africa (during this trip you would spend the days in a village building relationships with the Sereer-Palor people, eat lunch with them and share Bible stories), financial support to send others if you can’t go yourself.

West Africa Mission's Personalizer; Greg and Angela Queen
Greg and Angela recently completed their first term as IMB missionaries in Senegal, West Africa.  They served in the Engagement Team – researching and identifying people groups without an evangelical witness.  They also facilitated volunteer trips for churches called to engage the “unengaged”.

Currently, they work as the West Africa region’s Personalizer.  The Personalizers main role is to serve as a liaison between the church and the field - helping churches partner with on-the-field personnel or engage people groups who have no evangelical witness.  John 4:35 says, "Don't you say, 'There are still four more months, then comes the harvest'? Listen to what I'm telling you: Open your eyes and look at the fields, for they are ready for harvest.”  Greg likes to think of his job as helping you see the fields…putting a vision of the people of West Africa in your mind.

Greg, Angela, and Meredith were actively involved as members of Rocky Creek Baptist Church when God called them to missions.   During their time in Dakar, Senegal, God blessed them with a new baby, Hope.  During the pregnancy, complications arose which caused them to relocate back to Greenville, SC.  Hope was born on February 22, 2007.  She has had a number of medical needs, so please continue to lift up the family as they care for Hope and Meredith and strive to share with others about West Africa.
