Women's Ministry - "Women of Purpose"



The Ladies Ministry of Rocky Creek Baptist Church is seeking to reach women for Christ, helping them to develop a strong faith through His Word, and encouraging them to live their everyday lives confidently according to the principles of Scripture.

With God’s wisdom and knowledge we are stepping out in faith to become Women of Purpose and to do whatever it takes to reach the women of our area for Christ, grow them and help to … become Women of Purpose also.

What does it mean to be a Woman of Purpose? The acrostic will help interpret the meaning more fully to you. I pray that these goals will be the desires of every woman’s heart at Rocky Creek Baptist Church.



Plan. God has a plan and a purpose for your life. It is God’s desire that every woman accept Jesus, His Son, as Lord and Savior. We are saved to serve. His plan, is that you use your spiritual gift(s) to edify the Body of Christ. His church is the place-not the Garden Club, the Spa, etc. All are good, but they are no substitute for His church.

Understanding God’s Word. Your study will give you an Upward Look with your eyes focused.

Rooted and grounded in the Word of God. Not tossed about with every wind of doctrine. Not “silly women who are always learning and yet never about to grasp the truth.”

Prayer is the source of their strength. The lost will not be saved without prayer. The saved will not grow without prayer. You cannot stay faithful without prayer.

Outward look. It keeps you people-centered, not self-centered. Ministering to women’s felt needs in our broken and hurting world.

Soul Conscious. A burden and heart for the lost woman who needs Jesus and the ministry of Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

Enthusiasm. God in you! Excited about the miracle God is performing in our homes and church. Being thankful produces enthusiasm.
